Excellent stay and customer service but check in overcharged
The hotel is very good excellent facilities gym pool swimming pool restaurant good food and excellent breakfast .
It’s on the hill allowing good views of the port and great views of the cruisers coming in.
The rooms were clean tidy and extremely comfortable.
The reason I haven’t given it a 5 star is purely because there could have been larger towels and check in is too late .
We got there around 11sh in an ideal world most check ins are around 12/1 but our room was ready and we still had to pay 20€ extra along with the local fee of 2€ which is ok but I find it ridiculous that if our room is ready and we are leaving 3 hours early at the end of our stay that they should charge us another 20€ to check in 3 hours early it’s really cheeky !!!!
That’s the only negative aspect
I would return but I would not pay the 20€

Booked for an engineer who needed to be close to the harbor, he stated that it was a great location and walking distance to the harbor. He added that the staff were extremely nice.

Perfect
The first thing we noticed when we entered the building was how clean everything was. The room was better than we could have expected. The same goes for the girls behind the counter, who were as nice, helpful and professional as we could have hoped. Overall a very nice if not perfect experience

Never again
I don’t know yet what was the worst: the toilet lost all the time and the cistern was always running, the room seemed and was 3rd world, the door card canceled itself and I had to go down twice to reception to solve it, the bed had wheels and these could not be slowed, so from vandazo to vandazo I was going around the room, the same wheels were about to break, instead of being vertical, they were diagonal about to split, the mini bar is the loudest I have ever heard (the tube to disconnect), the closet was missing a door, the air conditioning was not configured, the windows make a squeak when opening or closing that everyone hears, the windows of the entrance CAREFUL that have mo (moss), the walls are cardboard and you hear everything, literally everything. Finally, if it were cheap, then look, I accept it, but 220€ for 3 nights, it is not cheap.

Ants and Poor Customer Service
I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with mine and my partners recent stay at Hotel Amic Horizonte. Unfortunately, our experience was far below the standards we expected.
During our stay, we discovered ants in our room, which was both unpleasant and unacceptable. When we reported the issue to reception, we were informed that this was to be expected due to the hotel being “surrounded by nature.” This explanation was not only inaccurate, as the property is located in an urban area with artificial grass and little natural greenery, but also dismissive of the actual issue in that no apology was given.
To make matters worse, the receptionist called ‘Julian’ who we had the unpleasurable experience of speaking with was rude and unhelpful. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, we were blamed for leaving food out, which added to our frustration. As paying guests, we should not be held accountable for a pest problem in your facilities.
The receptionist said housekeeping would clean the room however when we returned to our room we found dead ants on the floor and some that were alive on the floor and the bed. We also found the room to be cold as our key card had been removed and therefore the electric had not been on all day.
This is ironic as previously Julian from reception had said that morning that ‘food should not be left out and should just be in the fridge’ however due to the keycard being removed the food we did have in the fridge had been in a warm fridge all day and as it was meat could not be eaten due to risk.
I believe it is the responsibility of the hotel to maintain a clean and pest-free environment for its guests. The lack of customer care and dismissive attitude I experienced were highly disappointing.
