Spent 6 nights here…. Hotel staff are lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. However, we had a major problem with insect bites. The bathrooms are partially outdoors and although we made sure lights weren’t left on or doors left open, myself and my partner were bitten to death which put a bit of a dampener on our holiday. We had lots of wildlife ‘visiting us’ from frogs to lizards to millipedes. We understand that the hotel cannot do much about this but just come prepared if booking this hotel!

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Returnw s-a
We stayed at The Elementum for 7 nights. Overall, it was okay. The staff was generally fine, but at meals, we often had to remind them multiple times to bring the drinks we had ordered. The food was decent, and the room was okay, but there were a few issues. The shower had very low water pressure.
The most disappointing part was the check-out experience. We asked if they had any guests arriving that day, and they told us no. We then requested to pay extra for just two more hours so our little daughter could take her midday nap, considering we had a long journey of nearly 30 hours ahead. However, they refused and told us we had to leave unless we paid for an entire extra night—£100 for just one or two more hours.
We left extremely disappointed with their attitude, and we will definitely not be returning to this hotel.

This was a nice hotel with kind staff, clean rooms and nice breakfast. be aware that the room door leading to the outside bathroom does not lock though.

The most disgusting hotel experience ever. Health and safety hazard.
If that sounds extreme, imagine waking up at 4am on your first night to the horrific smell of drains, then getting out of bed to investigate and finding yourselves standing in sewage water in your bedroom in your bare feet. The drains had overflowed due to heavy rain, leading to the outside bathroom being flooded with the hotel's raw sewage water, which came straight into our bedroom under the door.
The night supervisor was helpful in carrying our bags to a new room, but we had to walk back into the sewage several times in our flip flops to gather our belongings.
We were transferred to a new room at 5am. It was a suite for a family with a young baby, but it was up an external metal spiral staircase, and the rain was so noisy on the roof - would be very difficult to get a baby and buggy up there and back down again.
Much less significant things to point out: On arrival in our original room, the bedsheet was stained, there was an ant in the bed, and when I put my clothes on top of the wardrobe due to the limited space, the wardrobe light disconnected. All a bit cramped. The hotel umbrellas were broken.
We left the next day and had an excellent stay at the nearby Radisson Blu. Management processed our refund quickly, but the gesture of goodwill of a refund on our evening meal and a voucher for a 2 night stay in the future does not seem adequate compensation for being exposed to the sewage gases and being in contact with the sewage water. I still have a cough and cold, probably caused by wandering about outside in the middle of the night in the pouring rain, in my pyjamas.
Service and food in the restaurant was excellent.
Recommendation: Go there for a meal, but not to stay. If you do stay, avoid Room 1, which is downstream of everyone else's accommodation!

Visit with friends
Very good service. Really nice place and very comfortable. We were very happy about our stay and felt very welcomed. We would recommend and will definelty visit next time we are on Bali. If you have the chance, do yourself a favor and visit this place
