Great stay despite a couple of flaws
- Great location in the business district of Lisbon. Clean area, great transport links and in walkable distance of main places in the centre
- One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in!
- We felt safe in the hotel as doors got locked late at night
- The little details of the rooms were great- robe and slippers, great Samsung flat screen TV, coffee machine, water in the room, soap, safe, tissues, fridge
- The hotel staff arranged a private airport transfer for us on the way home for €25 which was excellent. The driver was early, waited for us in the lobby, carried our cases and even walked us all the way through the airport to our luggage check in desk.
- Shower pressure and temperature was great.
- Staff were all really pleasant, friendly and helpful
Cons-
- When we arrived we were told we could either choose a room with two single beds and a bath, or a different room with a large double bed and a large shower. This was disappointing as we had booked a double room and couldn’t understand why we had to pick. We picked the large double bed and shower, but it turns out it was a disabled room and they didn’t tell us this. When we went to use the shower it flooded the whole bathroom floor, so I couldn’t wash my hair for 2 days as by the time we asked to change it was too late and no rooms were available. Once we managed to move to a double room 2 days later everything was great but this was a really disappointing part of the trip. If they offer you room 201, say no!
- They don’t turn the air conditioning on in February and we really needed it at night. It was a bit too hot. Even a plug in fan would have helped
- No proper bar (but we didn’t eat or drink a the hotel so this didn’t bother us. We kept a couple of drinks in our fridge for getting ready at night and then we would go out for dinner)
