We had a great experience at the Hotel. The bar and restaurant views overlooking the Navesink River are amazing. Breakfast was amazing at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is a historical hotel in Red Bank and a beautiful lobby, bar and restaurant. Breakfast was very good and affordable for the style and price. Certainly on par with some of the other places for breakfast around Red Bank. The bed the room was comfortable and they were able to provide non allergenic linen and pillows upon request. The room we were in was probably the smallest in the hotel and felt cramped. The bathroom was tight and had no water pressure for a good shower. Something that a hotel of this caliber shouldn't have an issue with. There was also no refridgerator, but they were able to accomodate without any problems. The other annoyance was music being piped through the hallways, even during the night and as this is an old hotel, it can be heard and unfortunately, it's pop favorites and not something tranquil, so for light sleepers it can be heard through the walls along with other guests speaking in the hallway. Would I stay there again? Possibly, but would make sure what the room would be before confirming.

Shower didn’t work properly. Toilet seat would not stay up. Bartender was unfriendly and snobbish. Not happy!

We were in Red Bank for dinner and a show at the Count Basie Theater. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. The bathroom was ok, a little dated. The problem was the heat in the room would not adjust. No matter what the thermostat was set at, it always blew warm/hot air. We did not notice this until about midnight when we got back to the room. Too late to pack up, get dressed, and change rooms. The only way to regulate the heat was to turn it off, and then back on when the room was too cool. I told the desk clerk at checkout in the morning. He asked if I said something last night, and I advised him I did not as it was after midnight by the time I realized the problem. He said he would note it and that was it. He could have been a little more concerned or apologetic for the problem.

This place is a good choice for someone staying in Red Bank. The restaurant and bar are excellent. I was amazed by how good the food was. The staff is also fantastic.
The only thing is it’s an old mansion like place. That being said my room was small but neat as a pin. I only gave it a good rating and not excellent, because there was NO water pressure to speak of. I was happy until I showered. I have long hair so it was a problem. I took a much longer shower to compensate for the lack of said water pressure.
Would I stay there again? No but I would eat there anytime!!
