Easy Hotel Option
I loved the vending machine which provided the perfect late night snack!
They were also kind enough to provide a wake up call so we we're awake in time for meeting our friends before our flight!

Handy location
The check in was relatively simple on a touch screen and checkout was really simple by just dropping off the card key into the glass box by the door.
Its' a Premier Inn so nothing spectacular, but the bed was big enough and a reasonable night's sleep, with very little noise to disturb you.
One thing I would add is that it's really not far from the North Terminal, by just turning left out if the terminal and following the signs (it right behind the garage at the roundabout).
Otherwise it's about £5 per person to get the hotel bus.

Getting simple things wrong.
Too much emphasis on checking in machines so money can be saved but at the expense of the guest experience. Yes you can pay to check on early but we were only an hour early (14:00).
No welcome when we arrived, Travelodge used to be a more budget experience whilst Premier Inn always provided a better experience. In a service economy penny pinching at the guests expense. You can have two cups of tea or coffee each during your 18-20 hour stay because only four little pots of milk are provided. If like us you have mobility issues having to go backwards and forwards to reception is quite difficult in a large building. I already had to trek to reception for an extension lead which is now draped across the room causing a trip hazard. Like I said it's the little things, the TV takes a full 5 seconds to select a channel, not a huge issue but unnecessary.
