Friendly staff, had no problem over the 3 nights I stayed over. Funny enough it was the same place my friend stayed a few months back.
Room clean, easy access.
I booked a double room with private bathroom. Would recommend.

Scam
I advice if you are honest and take permission for anything they will blame you that you have done it and charge penalty for it we ask can we smoke shisha inside the room they said and we never bring our shisha inside the room after a day without even any information they deducted £150 and i booked the hotel for £80 absolutely scam for tourism people they simply didn’t respond to you inam force to leave you a 1 star review i am a student can’t afford £150 penalty please work on this charging this amount to innocent people doesn’t make your business grow not suggesting anyone to stay here a big scammmmmmmm if you ask anything to them

DECENT ENOUGH FOR ONE NIGHT
Like many hostels I have stayed in all around Europe, there are many pros and cons to each and every one of them...and this one is no different!
I arrived at 9am to be told check in is at 3pm. I already knew this but seeing as my stay was only a single night I don't see why it takes 4 hours between leaving (11am) and checking in to make a bed? There's no tea or coffee making facilities available after breakfast finishes which should happen during harsh Scottish winter months. The arrival isn't a pleasant one on the eye at present as there's scaffolding all around the hostel exterior. The breakfast is all you can eat buffet with many different options available but is rather steep at £8. The room I was placed in was adequate for my needs as only 5 people were in it at the time in a 10 person dorm but may well be a little cramped if fully utilised by 10 people in the summer busy months. There didn't seem to be any laptops available for use or any activities going on as happens in many other hostels around Europe. The meeting room had a large flat screen TV with numerous tables and chairs but again it would probably not be sufficient enough come the busy summer months. The biggest gripe I had with this establishment is this. I have travelled all over the world on my own for over 40 years now and never have I come across any kind of hostelry be it 1 or 5 star that charges you to store your luggage. It will cost you £6 if you arrive early and leave late as I did. So when you put this together with the extra late check in time, it seems to be done on purpose to get more money out of you.
The pros of this hostel are as follows. Each bed has it's own night light, socket and privacy curtain. There were 2 toilets and 2 showers in my dorm which was excellent given there were only 5 people in it. The room size and layout was good, the windows had large blinds and there was a locker for each bed too. Although I was only there for one night, I did speak with around 4 different staff members who all seemed pleasant and helpful. The hostel itself is in a decent location and only a 2 minute walk to each end of the street where buses run. It's also only a 15 minute walk to Glasgow Central station or catch bus number 2 to the end of the street from the station.

Upon arrival the entrance is rather nice and well laid out and looks very well looked after. however our issue was when we got into the room and it appeared to be very bleak and very uncomfortable the mattress was very thin to the point where you could feel the metal frame underneath.
The room had much unused potential to make it feel like somewhere you would want to sleep. after being in the room for about 10-15 minutes there was a dampener on the mood as we were celebrating my birthday and this is when we decided we were going to book a different hotel to stay in as neither of us felt comfortable staying there for the night.
